Face papers are generally divided into three types:

  • Mirror (Cast Coated Paper): High-gloss surface, smooth as a mirror.
  • Glossy (Coated Paper): Smooth surface with a slight shine.
  • Matte (Uncoated Paper): Non-coated surface with no gloss.

They are two different types of adhesives:

  • Water-based glue: Moderate initial tack; labels can be repositioned shortly after application. Over time, adhesion becomes stronger and more permanent.
  • Hot melt glue: Strong initial tack; however, adhesion may weaken over time, resulting in lower permanence.
